DON'T TELL MAMA
The aim of this podcast is to connect with and support young queer individuals who face discrimination due to their sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or gender expression.
In each episode, a guest will share their personal story of overcoming immense challenges related to their queer identity, and discuss how these experiences impact their daily life. To protect their privacy and allow for free expression, guests will remain anonymous.
This podcast is particularly important because young queer individuals are statistically more likely to experience mental health problems, self-harm, homelessness, and suicide compared to their heterosexual peers. These struggles can be caused by factors such as family abuse or school harassment. By sharing these difficult realities, our podcast wants to create a community where young queer people feel heard and understood. We strive to include a diverse range of perspectives and experiences in each episode to build an inclusive listening community. Be sure to check out our first teasers!
